So while it doesn't look much different than it did before (I liked my design, thank you) our family blog has a new home and you'll need to update your bookmarks to this shiny new page. And while I have been playing with this, it has been many weeks since I have updated the blog and now I need to catch up. It's going to take me several nights to do so and I'll just get started with a little bit to test drive this new thing.

The Room Project Begins
I have covered the results of Owen's new room project in detail on the hydrocephalus blog and by now everyone has seen the artwork and Owen walking around in it. I'm not going to try to duplicate all of that here. Instead I'll focus on what the kids were doing while all the work was going on. During the previous few days I had done some of the prep work like painting the railings, but today was the first day of work in Owen's room. I mounted the railing and then put the first toy on the wall. It didn't take long for Owen to find it.
Sammy helped me to mount a few pieces of Owen's old bed on the walls. When we were done she sat and listened to Owen's PeaPod MP3 player.
This is an overview of how the room looked at the end of the day. While I worked Owen took all of his toys and spread them across the room to make this lovely mess that you see here:
And finally this is a random picture taken of Owen that day:

The Room Continues
Today Sammy and I painted the decorations on the table and put it together in Owen's room.

Exploration
The room isn't done yet, but already it has inspired Owen to explore his world in a more upright fashion:

Asleep, snuggled up with his soft friend:
The Room is Done
The room was finally finished and it was time to play!
